I found this on Pinterest. charlieandmattie.blogspot.com They are very easy to do. I suggest you season the pots with a sealer, then use a spray paint in your choice of color. I used the pencil eraser end to make the Bulbs, One of our ladies used the end of sponge paint stick which made better bulbs. A dowel end would work also. I then sprinkled white glitter over the freshly painted bulbs while wet to give them a shimmer. We used a sponge type paintbrush to brush Elmer"s glue on the rims of the pots, holding the pot over a file folder sprinkled white glitter on it. On the rims the sprinkle was a little heavier to give the look of snow. When completed spray with a sealer to preserve it. We had a friend cut a 2" circle out of a 2x4. He painted it brown to give the look of trunk. I cut 2" Star out of glitter paper with my cricut. we used popscyle stick and glued one to each side. Put it through the top pot.
