I have been working on pillowcase dresses. These little sundress were originally made from pretty pillow cases.
Mine are made from fabric I had on hand, measured to the correct measurements sewn in a tube to mimic the pillow cases. It takes1 yd of 36" to 45" fabric. I used coordinating bias to encase the armholes and the neck line,I also in closed the bottom for a decorative hemline. Make an armhole 2" in on each side and down 6" for small and 7" for med. cutting in a curve. For the neckline, cut down about 1" making a curve as well. Use bias to finish the armholes. Fold down 1/4" and stitch, fold down 1 to 1/4 " and stitch for the casing on both the front and back. Use a  ribbon to thread though the necklines and gather it up. leaving the ends long enough to tie in pretty bows on the shoulders. If you like you may stitch across each end after threading the ribbon through to keep it from coming out when you launder.
